Nesco 6 Liter 4-in-1 Digital Pressure Cooker



As a busy mom that works 40+ hours a week, I know the daily struggles of that wonderful question..... "What's for dinner?"  

Well my wonderful friends at Nesco sent me an awesome 6 Liter 4-in-1 Digital Pressure Cooker to use for a review.


Nesco provides an appliance that is sleek, safe, and very quiet.  It actually has a built in safety feature that will not let it open if the machine is under pressure.  This pressure cooker actually has different modes to pressure cook, steam, slow cook, and also make rice.  I also noticed that the appliance stayed cool on the outside, so you don't have to be afraid of burning yourself.

I decided to make some Slow Cooked Chicken Fajitas.  First I made my own chicken broth to pour on top of the chicken as it cooks.


As that was simmering, I cut up my onions and peppers.



I love to use green and red peppers not only for the great taste, but it adds some color to your dish!


As you can see there are a lot of veggies, and still a lot of room in there!


I added 4 pieces of large boneless chicken breasts, and still more room for more!


Switched the valve to vent, and started the digital timer for 8 hours...


Eight hours later, the heavenly aroma filled my house.   Even the baby was looking at it wondering what is in there?!?!

I love this appliance, because it is nice to be able to turn it on as I am leaving to go to work, then 8 hours later come home to a great meal.  Also if I needed to make a meal really fast, using the pressure cooker mode allows me to cook 70% quicker.  The locking lid with inner seal also is great for parties.  You can cook at home, then lock the lid and take it with you!

    Hmmm hard choice, I've always wanted a pressure cooker but another thing I'd want would be the Nesco dehydrator.

    Wonderful machine to be able to start/make dinner ahead of time! Your photos/comments/presentation make you want to eat right off the screen. A definite need in my house!

    I didnt know that there were electric kettle tea makers! That will make a cool gift for my daughter! I would like a rice steamer/cooker.

    I love that I can use while I am in school and not worry about my food. I hate to cook after school but if I could prepare and start before I left I would eat so much better then I would since I just grab fast food.
